Once's Carlos Valdes Goes From Broadway Ensemble to Superhero in The Flash

Wipes out scum in seconds! Once’s Carlos Valdes has been cast in the forthcoming The Flash pilot for The CW. According to Variety, Valdes is set to play mechanical engineering genius Cisco Ramon AKA Vibe in the potential superhero series.

Joining Valdes in the Arrow spinoff is fellow Broadway alum Jesse L. Martin as Detective West, Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/The Flash, Rick Cosnett as Eddie Thawne, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow and Candice Patton as Iris Ramon. The Flash pilot will be written by Arrow co-creators Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg.

Valdes is currently making his Broadway debut in Once as Andrej. Other stage credits include Jersey Boys, The Wedding Singer, Fiddler on the Roof and High School Musical.
